Welcome to the website of the combined research groups of Drs Pete Nellist and Valeria Nicolosi.

The group’s research themes range from the development of advanced characterisation techniques, especially in the area of high-resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy imaging and spectroscopy, to the synthesis and processing of novel nanomaterials.

A particular focus of the group is the synergy between technique development and application to advanced materials.
